Lost Love

Quietly Jeremy walks along the ocean’s water’s edge. Deep in thought, of her…and…what could have been. Why did he let her go? Why didn’t he fight for her harder? Hands deep into his pockets he kicks a shell across the sand. Why? He keeps asking himself over and over. Jeremy gazes over the ocean into the unending distance.

Sighing Jeremy continues to walk in silence as her face fills his aching mind.

I’ll always love…you…forever…Jeremy…

Jeremy suddenly stops and looks but no one is near him.

“What?”

Shrugging his shoulders, he continues not realizing she was there touching his shoulder.

If only he would turn around or notice her presence, he could have her back. Great Flash! Happy Birthday too.

Thanks :) yes, she is dead. He had tried to save her once but couldn't. Now she haunts him as she had promised to never leave him in life or in death. He refuses to admit that she is there as he can hear and feel her.
