Musical Guardian

Lying on the grass by a tree, Lunnora listens to the trees as the wind blows. Music to her ears as the birds fly, while butterflies flutter around her red dress.

She smiles.

The world didn't understand her, for her world is music. Lunnora could only hear music.

To celebrate her gift, Lunnora sings to the butterflies as they land on her back, branding her with their beauty, marking her one of their own. Her lullaby to the butterflies emerges as musical notes along her back.

Lunnora knows now she is one with the forest, and guardian of the butterflies.

I find it interesting that many spoke of music and not fitting in and tears or sadness.
