Captive Shot

Celine lies on the black sofa, wearing her black leather skirt, and gloves. She holds a string of pearls against her breast. Celine poses like a porcelain statue.

Josh breathes nervously aiming his camera at Celine. His heart pounds as he struggles.

“Issues?”

“No Mistress. Just…um…looking…for…the…um…right shot.”

“I want this to be perfect. DO NOT screw up!”

“Yes…Mistress” Josh chews on his lip.

“Your wife’s life and her freedom depend on this job. If you prove to me your loyalty I may let her go.” Celine adds as she points to the monitor with Josh’s wife tied to a cross.

Unexpected News

Laura wakes to the sun pouring into her room. Smiling she stretches and crawls out slowly. Wearing only her satin white nighty and barefoot she walks to the kitchen. She pours herself coffee and grabs the paper on her way back to her room. Laura stops short when her eyes see a familiar face. The cup of coffee falls to the floor with a crash. She leans against the doorframe for support.

“No…it can’t be. He can’t be….” Laura stares at the picture in the paper.

“He was killed…a year ago!! Maybe…they do…exist.”

Laura staggers to her bed and faints.

Realm of Judgement

Sarah finds herself in a realm and wearing a silky off white gown. She wanders around and sees others wearing similar garments. Confusion and fear fill their eyes.

“Where are we?” She asks a nearby male.

“The realm of judgement.” He replies staring off.

“Realm…of judgement? How…why?”

“You died just like us. We are awaiting for our judgement of eternal peace or eternal punishment.”

“Judgement…peace…punishment? She stammers looking through the mist.

“We are waiting to be judged for our earthly crimes.”

“I…I have never committed a crime.”

“You committed the highest crime…immortality. You escaped death for…centuries. Now you must be…judged.”

Mail Order

Adriana stands quiet among the others. Her face is covered with a veil as she stands in a dark brown cloak. She stands motionless as she feels eyes inspecting her. Adriana tries not to chew on her lip as she waits. Everything has to be perfect. She can’t be sent home, not now. It will embarrass her family name if she’s not chosen; it will ruin her for a mate.

“The brides will now be called by their new husbands.”

Adriana waits as the others are called.

One by one they leave the stage.

Yet she remains unwed and unwanted.
